CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Barbara Bui Fall 2014 PFW

We’re into this kind of wild. The Barbara Bui Fall 2014 collection is full of primal insticts. Incorporating plenty of animal and fossil print to go around, this PFW runway show is a definite highlight. There’s nothing primitive about this set though…its combination of slouchy ponchos and skin-tight leather shows gorgeous contrast. It’s nordic chic meets roaring rockstar in one fashionable evolution. Appearances by Karlie Kloss, Sasha Luss and Julia Nobis all strut fearlessly in this memorable show.

Nordic comes first in a handful of comfy oversized sweaters and fuzzy jackets. Large sleeves are heavily trending and look just as hot in this set. A snakeskin leather jacket [worn by Luss] is like fashionable armor. It’s tough and elegant all in one. Next comes edgy in wild fossil printed coats and trousers. The print is positively tantalizing with trick sleeves that vanish into sleek pockets. She’s like a walking high-fashion x-ray with sass and spirit. Leather is red hot in the remaining all-black and navy set. Bare midriffs and sheer detailing incorporates a bit of sex appeal into the mixture, adding onto this bad girl vibe.

Take your pick, there’s varied elements of style here. Bui’s muse has two personalities…both with a killer fashion sense. We love that contrast. fdmLOVES BARBARA BUI Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
