Acne Studios Fall 2014 PFW
The Acne Studios Fall 2014 PFW collection is surprisingly full of easy-breezy colors and undertones. Designer Jonny Johansson was inspired by the Pacific Ocean and the Cali vibe for this set. With swirly colors and prints looking like ocean waves, these are clothes to wear during a West Coast winter. Of course there’s gorgeous outwear to withstand the elements, but there’s plenty of stunners to leave those freezing temps behind.
Rockin’ leather isn’t forgotten in this collection. In classic black and coated metallic variations, it’s a fresh take on this typical staple. Fluffy hats are contrasted well with skirts and board shorts…those definite surfer vibes pulling through. Love the animal print and super modern silhouettes on short coats and trenches.
There’s a lot of detail to the neck, with swopping necklines encasing like a fantastic fashionable shell. The color palette is so varied. Bright colors transform in black and white quite nicely. This is a change from what we’ve seen from Acne in the past…and it’s a definite welcoming one.
East Coast, West Coast and beyond, this designer is taking his brand into the future. Hop in and enjoy the ride. fdmLOVES ACNE STUDIOS FALL 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
