4 Corners of a Circle fall 2013 NYFW
Designer Natsuko Kanno looked to her Japanese roots for inspiration from the ikusa, which means battle. For the fall 2013 collection of 4 Corners of A Circle, show started with two Japanese dancers slowly presenting their routine to an intense drum beat. Once they reached halfway down the runway, they stood on separate tables and made (a cute) exotic pose.
The hair for the runway was parted down the middle, pulled back, with small ‘lifts’ on the side, with thick eyebrows. There were plenty of high waisted trousers, and a few that sat just above the knee. Poncho trench coats and knee high socks seem to be the trend for fall 2013 according to Kanno. A nice move forward for the young label. fdmLOVES selects from the runway by Brigitte Segura, written by Markie Woodarek.
