CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

LACE for fall

Light enough for end summer heat, yet serious enough for the depth of winter, lace is guaranteed to look chic any time of the year.  Its singular, delicate beauty and timeless appeal has proven it to be a classic for any fashionable wardrobe.

editor‘s note: Lace is the trend for all seasons- and for everyone this fall.  From sweet + girly daytime textured looks to red carpet evening wear,  it’s on all the girls’ must have list.   After making a menswear appearance for ss16, and refreshed at the Haute Couture fw15 collections, we’re taking a look at all this lace. Here are some favorite lace  looks on the fall 2015 runway.- brigitte

This fall, ladylike lace is more provocative than pious. On the runway, featherweight textures added Victorian elegance to sheer, sexy looks. Guipure, Dolce & Gabbana’s lace of choice, created a peekaboo effect when layered over color blocked little bottoms. McQueen and Giambattista Valli amped up the feminine effect adding ruffle details to knee-length dresses, with Valli’s haute couture collection flaunting color blocks.

Reem Acra included a chock full of lace designs maintaining a strong preference towards black and winter neutrals, while  Roberto Cavalli and Balmain showcased striking variations in sea blue, tangerine, and violet.  Neutral lights predominantly appeared in luxe cream and champagne lights, far from “wedding gown” whites with a more sophisticated presentation.
