Max Mara Pre-Fall 2014
We’re getting revved up over what’s to come in the next few weeks for fall, and pre-fall collections are giving us a taste of whats coming for fall 2014. Max Mara’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection is utilitarian with sweet undertones. Darks transform into delicate pastels effortlessly, always staying super luxurious. Designer Ian Griffiths was inspired by prominent ladies of the 20th century, including photographer Lee Miller and actress Dominique Sanda.
These women had their own sense of style and beauty, and probably wouldn’t mind snagging a few of these looks for themselves. We wouldn’t mind either.
This Italian powerhouse label knows how to make a coat, whether in swing or boyfriend styles. Several jackets are in boxy styles but lay beautifully, especially with trim trousers. A-line skirts and and hoodies go really well together [seriously] and we can’t help but feel this muse is a ‘no fuss’ kinda girl. She’s also someone with a strong-willed attitude and personality, as shown in delicious pantsuits with gorgeous accessories. Purses and heels are nothing short of fierce.
Moody, a little dark and mysterious, feel this modern film noir vibe. But it’s not all dramatic hues. Bursts of teal, blue and beige add those last remnants of summer that’s needed for pre-fall. Downright gorgeous. fdmLOVES MAX MARA Pre-Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
