CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Iris Van Herpen RTW ad campaign

We are all about creative innovation, and of course we love the young and UBER talented Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen. She has wowed the couture crowd since debuting with an avant-garde approach and has been a Guest Member of the Chambre syndicale de la Haute Couture as of July 2011. Continuing to wow us fusing art form with functionality, her first ready to wear collection Phy-tha-go-rash was presented for for Fall 2013 in Paris.

The Iris Van Herpen ad campaign is brought to life with by photographer Ralph Mecke with styling by Leila Smara captured set against the New York City skyline.  In a surprising but certainly refreshing move, Canadian artist and musician Grimes is featured rocking a newly dark do while modeling  IVH with just enough sass, greenish (hair) tips and all. It seems these two ladies kept crossing each other’s paths as Grimes recently donned Van Herpen’s couture clothing for an issue of Dazed & Confused giving off some seriously cool and mutually impressive vibes.

Inspired by the geometric Pythagoras tree, the capsule of ensembles are shaped with an organic nature. Dresses and mixable pieces have high quality construction with purposeful handiwork. We’re intrigued by the cultivated visual plus a real sense of wearablity. From georgette silk, cashmere, to micro-fiber with leather lace, alpaca wool, to faux-rye-leather the richness exudes at every angle. Colored in eggplant, olive, and copper and balanced with black, lightened with nude and cream the line is stunning. fdmLOVES selects from Iris Van Herpen RTW by Brigitte Segura Paris, written by Sarah A.
