Noon by Noor Spring 2014
Noon by Noor is a relatively new label inspired by the beauty of far off lands. Just a few NYFW seasons ago, they made their first appearance during MBFW at Lincoln Center. With some know-how under their belt, designers Shaikha Noor and Shaika Hayathe are on the right track in making a real impact. By fusing elegance with exotic inspiration, the talented twosome have found their cute girly niche.
For the Spring 2014 collection the elegant design paired with the fun and pop colors, set to fun music at the runway show. One of the greatest aspects of this collection is the attention that was given to creating pieces that embrace and celebrate the curves of a woman.
The young designers found inspiration from their home country, Bahrain. They were inspired by the nature and complexity of the “Tree of Life,” which is a 400 year old natural wonder that survives in a barren desert with no source of water. Appreciating the natural beauty within the landscape, hints of floral and leaf patterns were incorporated into this season’s collection. Throughout the course of the show, we saw a consistent theme of flattering femininity in the pretty ensembles. Fun pops of color, patterns and textures, and slew of good looks got our attention. fdmLOVES selects from NOON BY NOOR Spring 2014 by Brigitte Segura, written by Lauren Watts.
