Emerson Fall 2014 NYFW
Models sauntered with a soft sass wearing an expressively romantic take on rock-n-roll at Emerson Fall 2014 during NYFW. Designer Jackie Fraser-Swan is known for focusing on the fashion forward side of the too cool for school kind of girl. The dark and moody color palette tapped into the drama filled fairytale scene highlighted by a princess… like sweetness in lavender.
Structured elements added a hard edge to silhouettes especially in complement to the more frilly frocks. A spectrum of fabrics were layered and styled with chic for easy charm. The overall look effectively heightened the individual pieces’ appeal. Backstage make up was lined heavy with luminous brows by Lyne Desnoyers for MAC, The hair by Jorge Luis for Prive had a mix of braids and blasts of lavender. The black nails made perfect to go with the studs appeal was by Miss Pop and Essie. While checking out the final touches + charging phone with PUKU portable gadget, our editor Brigitte got a little hair magic courtesy of Prive. Designer Jackie Frazer swan was trying to relax backstage while getting her black nail mani (to go with her studded gloves).
Dressed up and looking for somewhere hip to go, these pretty poppets wore Doc Martens combat boots and studded loafers. The added touch of on trend hair with purple highlights and a fiery attitude to match delivered the full package to the packed house in the Pavilion space.
