Araks Swim Resort 2014

Make a colorful splash in the cute Araks Swim Resort 2014 collection. Designer Araks Yeramyan has stepped away from lingerie for a hot minute and in turn, created a set of swimwear that’s perfect for every woman. With bright color blocking and vintage-inspired silhouettes spanning several decades, we can’t say enough how ridiculously fabulous this special set is. Photographed gorgeously by Sofia Sanchez and Mauro Mongiello, model Samantha Gradoville looks cool beach ready as she gives us a taste of what’s to come when the line hits the stores.

“I’ve always loved the simplicity of swimwear and had done a small collection for a couple of seasons a few years ago.  I was being asked frequently about a swim collection and was sought out to collaborate with other designers.  With all of the interest, the timing seemed right to revisit it.” – AY

The designer gained inspiration from artist Andrew Masullo, a lover of eye-catching colors and shapes. In this line, she pairs purple and burgundy, yellow and aqua, navy and green, pink and orange, clay and magenta. If bright colors aren’t your thing, there are pieces made out of neutrals like black and white. Everything is made from a jersey fabric and looks oh so flattering. Every classic bathing suit style is incorporated: one-piece, two-piece, cut-out one piece, and even a high-waisted two piece…40s retro flair and 80s spunkiness.  Made in New York City, this line will be available in store and online at araks.com October 2013. Prices range from $250-400. fdmLOVES ARAKS swim resort selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
