In its tenth year, the Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection unofficially kicked off New York Fashion Week at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Diet Coke partnered with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas to present this campaign fueled fashion show featuring celebrity models wearing designer creations in red. Highlights include: Rebecca Romijn wearing Marchesa, a Marc Bower stunner on Millionaire Match Maker Patti Stanger, Dynasty diva Linda Evans in Tadashi Shoji, and Alberta Ferretti on Jenna Elfman.
Personality filled crowd pleasers in the run of show with Debbie Phelps (the mother of internationally renowned swimmer Michael Phelps) and fashion separates statement maker Chaka Kahn in Chris March. The Heart Truth spokeswoman, actress Minka Kelly, wore a beaded crimson DVF gown. In another design related Diet Coke collaboration, Diane von Furstenberg has stepped up sipping style with a limited-edition collection of her signature prints in red and black on the brand’s aluminum bottles. The fashion show coincides with American Heart Month, and brings attention just on the heels of the National Wear Red Day, celebrating a decade on February 3rd this year. The Heart Truth is making an even bigger mark this time around by partnering with a nation-wide initiative of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services called Million Hearts with a goal of preventing one million heart attacks and strokes over the course of five years.
