When in Rome Stories to Share
Our exhilarating Italian journey began in Rome and though it wasn’t my first time in Italy, it was my first true Roman holiday. From the moment we arrived the city unfolded like a living museum. Every corner revealed layers of history, grand architecture, sun drenched piazzas, and the striking silhouettes of Mediterranean pine trees stretching elegantly across the skyline. Naturally, my phone was in hand as I documented every angle of Rome’s cinematic streets and timeless architecture.

Vatican City A World Within a City
Our first stop was Vatican City and the magnificent Vatican Museums. Room after room unfolded in a breathtaking sequence of art sculpture and history. Gilded ceilings intricate frescoes classical statues—each gallery more inspiring than the last. The grandeur is overwhelming in the best possible way.
Outside the museum courtyard offered another moment to pause and absorb the beauty. We loved the atmosphere so much that we returned the next day to wander again and see the area where the Pope delivers the Sunday blessing. The surrounding streets were just as captivating, filled with small shops and hidden gems.

One boutique that caught our attention was Mondo Cattolico Roma, located just steps from the Vatican Museums in St. Peter’s square. Known for its rosaries and devotional pieces, the shop also offers beautifully crafted jewelry. We fell in love with their Tree of Life bracelets – his and hers styles in silver and gold that felt both meaningful and modern. We later wore them to our Valentine’s Day dinner back in New York during NYFW, a subtle yet special and romantic reminder of Rome woven into our everyday style.

The Art of Walking in Rome
Rome is a city meant to be explored on foot. We spent our days wandering cobblestone streets, discovering fountains, sculptures, and hidden architectural treasures. And those Mediterranean pines… why does no one talk more about them? Their sculptural canopies frame the city in the most poetic way.
Not far from the Vatican we visited Castel Sant’Angelo, once a fortress, now a museum layered with art, armor, and centuries of stories. The angel statues lining the bridge create a dramatic approach, and inside, the interiors are nothing short of marvelous. But the true magic waits at the top!
On the rooftop café, we were rewarded with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Rome. Golden light washed over terracotta rooftops, church domes, and winding streets – and another view of the mediterranean pines. Yet another cinematic and romantic moment.

Outside the castle we met my longtime friend Tracy, a New Yorker now living la dolce vita in Rome. Together we indulged in Italian delicacies including the famous Roman artichoke dish found on nearly every menu and absolutely a must eat in the city. Of course in true Roman fashion the meal was followed by a long walk. We hopped on a small local bus up a nearby hill and discovered yet another fabulous fountain waiting to be admired at the top – just in time for the rain too!

A Cinematic Story in Rome
Rome is not just a destination, it is a feeling, a rhythm, a story that unfolds at every turn. Golden light filters through ancient rooftops, fountains sparkle like hidden treasures, and the skyline from Castel Sant’Angelo feels like a living painting. Every cobblestone street, every every tree-lined avenue is a frame waiting to be captured, a moment waiting to be lived.
When in Rome, style meets history and romance meets adventure, and even the simplest walk becomes a wonderful experience. These are just the first of many stories to share, each one a little chapter of la dolce vita, waiting to be written in the heart of the Eternal City.
