For designer Alix Pietrafesa’s Spring 2026 runway debut the designer brought an effortlessly cool SoHo chic vibe straight to the runway. The perfect blend of vintage-inspired boho and modern street style! Pieces that feel as at home on a downtown sidewalk as they do at a fashion event. The Alix of Bohemia collection was all about freedom, individuality, and movement, with each garment feeling like an extension of personal style. Think fabulous prints, fringe cowboy jackets, and luxe silks that play with texture in the most unexpected ways with just enough edge to keep it fresh and haute but still wearable.

Inspired by Alexander Calder’s Cirque Calder, Alix brought those same fluid, sculptural shapes to life in her collection. Sequined body chains and printed silk kimonos with the same organic energy as Calder’s wire figures, creating a collection that feels artsy too. It’s the perfect mix of chaos and control, celebrating the beauty of individuality with pieces that transform with the wearer.

What stood out to me? Fringe, shine, and unexpected textures. The silver tops and sheer printed pants had that magnetic quality. Cool but approachable, and versatile enough to layer and style however you like – so my flavor! Fringe cowboy jackets made their return with a fresh spin. MIxing Boho vibes with urban street style, the collection spoke to a modern woman who wants to feel chic, confident, and above all, comfortable in her clothes.

And then there’s the charm factor—sweaters with whimsical rabbit prints, flowing robes layered over easy prints that bring effortless cool to everyday wear. It’s cute, but not overdone, with just enough playful spirit to make it feel fresh and fun.

This collection gave me a serious dose of old-school SoHo vibes… when New York’s downtown scene was a mix of European chic and New York cool, where personal style reigned supreme. I can already picture these pieces in my wardrobe: timeless, stylish, collectible, and undeniably me.
