fdm LOVES: MARA HOFFMAN took inspiration from famed artist Frida Kahlo this season with her spring 2012 debut at MBFW this season. Featuring her signature custom prints, Mara took traditional ’mexican mama’ embroideries to a new COOL, grounding the brights with sheer white and black. pared down silhouettes and jumpsuits with flirty detailed backs just added to the LOVE and were complimented with her customized shoes in mixed | matched patterns + jewelry by HOLST and LEE. on the CELEB faves radar, we’ve been seeing her dresses and swimsuits on the likes of kim kardashian and ashley tisdale recently… and ashley stopped by to say HI at the presentation in the BOX at lincoln center this season.
