CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

ZANG TOI spring 2013 NYFW

Love for Zang Toi from front rowers Ivana Trump, Shontelle Layne, the designer’s muse Julie Macklowe, Kirstie Alley, who graced the runway for the his spring 2012 collection, and her former “Dancing with the Stars” partner hottie Maksim Chmerkovskiy.  A bountiful decoration of spring 2013 at MBFW, ZANG went soft lilac, yellow, and shades of pink going polished dolly done-up pretty. Over-sized bows were fun tied at the neck, on the side for just the right amount of exposed décolletage. A solid white stunner trimmed with a pleated ruffle of the same shade, embodied evening elegance, rightly bright for the season. Embellishments were noticeably placed hems, collars, and sleeves as flourishing declarations.

Perfect transition into tux, one of the staples on the tailoring scene – this time men and women took turns trying it on. Guys were handsome but more useful as an escort than anything else, whereas the sass and sex appeal was powerfully poised when worn by a lady. Jackets and capes draped nicely, pairing well with top hats, ascots and illusion bearing stockings. Attention grabbing ensembles careened the catwalk demanding a good time, and lots of attention. On a side note, in collaboration with Amazing Cosmetics, Toi launched his new line of fine makeup at the show. Sources say he will continue to expand… footwear and fine jewelry on the horizon.
