NYFW: Spring 2014 highlights day 1

Thursday Sept. 5 was the official start to NYFW SS14! We’re ready for a week or so of standout runway fashion, mingling, models, and  Our editor’s schedule was jam-packed with the absolute best of Day 1. Mingling with models backstage at Costello Tagliapietra, hanging with model Lyle Lodwick and posing with Christian Siriano are just a few of the many things that went down on this fabulous first day of fashion’s best.

The day started out on a super high note as Nicholas K sibling duo showed us some southwestern-inspired love in gorgeous earth tones. BCBGMAXAZRIA brought out the cropped top love as Olivia Palermo and Heidi Klum sat in the audience with fashionable flair, as always! Tocca, Costello Tagliapietra and Titania Ingles all presented perfectly feminine frocks for summertime. We chatted with photographer Bryant Eslava who is shooting some #MADEFW shots for social media.  The day ended with a stop at Christian Siriano‘s one year anniversary of his NoLita Store. He was sweet and personable, too.  Let’s see what he’s got in store on Saturday.

We then stopped at PRAVDA to celebrate with the Nicholas K. designers + the girls at People’s Rev.  finishing our day 1 with tons of smiles, perfect.
