CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Nicholas K Spring 2014

Fit for the urban dream catcher at Nicholas K with designer Nicholas Kunz making no apology for sticking to what she knows best. The signature layering pieces are fluid, lightweight, and artfully draped. Angelic white maxi dresses floated down the runway making a practical turn with oversized comfy sweaters that had us becoming one with nature.

Statement trench coats and anoraks evolved from crisp whites to earthy tones over the course of the show, skillfully layered over cropped mesh leggings, paying homage to the designer’s signature penchant for layering. Adding a wild card to the neutral mix was a sublte splash of nature-inspired prints, creating several patterns ripped from pictures of jellyfish and landscapes.

For men the military features worked against washed denim jackets paired with cargo shorts in khaki hues. Easy-to-wear pieces have drawn in the brand’s fiercely loyal following; surely fans new and old can appreciate the lineup’s cropped, slouchy track pant, complete with an elasticized cuff. fdmLOVES NICHOLAS K SPRING 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Khia Mercer.
