CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

MILLY spring 2013 NYFW

Young, fun, and energetic for spring – the obviously athletic inspiration distinctly fitted the form in this collection at MILLY for spring 2013. Seaming details, with contrast stitching and piping for enhanced appeal worked in terms of coverage with a kick. For showing a little skirt many a mesh net element added to a 80s feel in addition to neons.  Hardware like zippers and sporty pieces like halters over meant to be seen tank bras further enhanced the theme.  Otherwise softer components like pistachio and salmon colored ensembles, not to mention variations of tweeds, nice in a jacket. Print after print fit in naturally, as flowing numbers broke up the structure.

A little glitziness with metallic in skirts and such, even designer Michelle Smith stepped out in one at the show closer. With all the attention to active-like ready to wear attendees including Olympians Ryan Lochte and Conor Dwyer were right at home. Shoes provided by Manolo Blahnik, hair by Kevin Ryan for RSessions, and make-up Romy Soleimani for MAC. MILLY spring 2013 NYFW, Written by Sarah A. Freiseis.  fdm selects by brigitte segura.
