CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

MENSWEAR fall 2015 highlights NYFW vol. 5

With an impressive showing of menswear for Fall 2015 during NYFW, we made our way downtown to catch some fashionable fellas off-site. From Industria Studios to the Made shows at Milk,  to the offsite too close to the water spots, we navigated and  rounded up our favorites this season. Here’s a look at Rochambeau,  Le Flufy, Thaddeus O’Neil , Bobby Adley,  Martin Keehn,  and Franco Lacosta.

Playful, Brit-based designer Bobby Abley presented an eclectic assortment of sportswear. The Jungle Book inspired pieces boasted an urban take on the cartoon filled collection.  We were invited to walk into the actual presentation of the looks where we noticed models Jakub Pastor and Paul Boche (+ who is mr. pink)  casually posed around a giant banana with cool.  The literal translation gave way to banana and leaf motifs throughout plus character imagery emblazoned on crewed and hooded sweatshirts. The more abstract variation focused on the urbanization of the look with pin stripes and rouched hems adding depth and dimension.

Designers Joshua Cooper and Laurence Chandler of Rochambeau were inspired by the big apple for Fall 2015. The “I Love NYC” collection emerged onto a street scene of late complete with industrial exposures, graffiti, pay phones and metro cards. Impressively constructed outerwear and jumpsuits were in casual complement to cozy knitwear. The modern mish mash of knitwear and structured fabrics combined for a too cool for school appeal.

Thaddeus O’Neil channels the warmth of the west coast for Fall 2015. Casual style never gets old when your beach bum at heart. Geo prints and triangular piecing are spirited in combination to color-blocking. From structured elements to cozy knits, layering is key to keeping warm without the bulk. An arrangement of neutrals, black and white combos, and shades of tangerine and sea meet for the manifest of a seasonal take on the surfer’s delight. The surprise behind the heavy metal mask was Phil Sullivan.

Decidedly dangerous designs debuted at Leflufy Fall 2015. Designer Devon Halfnight Leflufy’s collection of club worthy constructions revealed ample attitude and with graphics and technical artistry. Fabric choices added a futuristic undertone to the renegade fueled foundation. The placements, patterns, and pops of color, namely bright orange, works for the raver scene.

Martin Keehn gives us fresh urban, comfortable design, with graphic eye candy.  From the perfect braided do’s on the guys to the layered in sweats marvelous looks, some with hoods, we’re keeping an eye on this hip euro urban collection.

Confidently perched on ladders in a windowed venue, models showed off the collection against the city skyline at Franco Lacosta Fall 2015. The designer’s rich color palette and use of luxurious touch reveals an elegant touch. Sleek suited silhouettes styles in metallic gold and silver steal the scene in a sea of black and red. Embroidered elements made the distinction between everyday refinement and pieces worthy of busting out for a special occasion.  MENSWEAR fall 2015 highlights NYFW vol. 5 featuring Rochambeau | Le Flufy | Thaddeus O’Neil | Bobby Adley | Martin Keehn | Franco Lacosta runway selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Sarah Freiseis.
