LOUIS VUITTON ss15 PFW
Sci-fi meets op art was a theme in Nicolas Ghesquiere’s new collection for Louis Vuitton spring 2015 shown during PFW. The show took place inside of Foundation Louis Vuitton, a new museum with a dark setting that gave an impression that intergalactic travel is maybe possible.
Ghesquiere used texture to create futuristic looks with 60’s + 70’s making an appearance. There was a lot of leather, sequins, and velvet that gave a sci-fi vibe, with inserts of lace to soften it up. Tunics cinched at the waist in retro patterns, with velvet pants and chunky boots giving us a 60’s throwback. Of course, the boxy LV bags accessorized the collection effortlessly.
