CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Spring 2014

When it comes to couture, we know Giambattista Valli is a designer that never falters. For the Haute Couture Spring 2014 collection, the angled cuts and modernist shapes feel like a gorgeous extension of his previous couture set. Bright pops of neon color and classic floral motifs really make a statement against the stark white runway. Are these models walking on clouds? We like to think so. Think of them as freshly picked spring flowers…daffodils and tulips, especially.

The spectacular blue cherry blossom print is reborn time and time again on minidresses and evening gowns. It’s heavily used throughout, but it never once feels tiresome. As for the minidresses, they come in sparkly fun variations, including a pale mint number that melts on Sasha Luss’ skin. It’s the perfect dress for an outside springtime event. Others, like a bright coral high-low dress, are the perfect mixture of cute and sexy. You can pout and prance in that one. The evening gowns play with balance quite effortlessly. You can just imagine Audrey Hepburn in any one of them. So charming and romantic.

With a color palette so varied, there’s a dress here to suit every single glamazon. Even neon yellow has us in the mood for a black-tie event. Fancy that! fdmLOVES GIAMBATTISTA VALLI Haute Couture Spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
