fdmLOVES: Model, actress, and designer Erin Wasson discusses “The Heimlich Maneuver”,  the fashion editorial film she is currently starring in, with FashionDailyMag.  the short film directed by New York based filmmaker and photographer Jenna Elizabeth is based on deconstruction of power in female dynamic relationships and co-stars Lydia Carron. The launch event for the film took place in the same place that it was originally shot, which was in the quaint, Club Room of the Soho Grand Hotel.  Friends came out to celebrate the screening held on June 27 with Erin including Amanda Norgaard, Helena Christensen, and Lydia Carron.

FDM: What was your favorite part of shooting the film “The Heimlich Maneuver?”

Erin Wasson: I was attracted to the off kilter concept. I loved that Jenna was shooting. She’s very talented and has a specific point of view on how to portray a woman.

FDM: What is the theme of the film?

Erin Wasson: Depicting the fine line between seduction and restraint.

3. FDM: How did you feel about Vs. Magazine’s vision and process for the film?

Erin Wasson: the vision is a perfect mix of art, fashion, culture with interesting contributors, so I appreciate their creative freedom to tell the story.
