CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

FARAH ANGSANA spring 2013 MBFW

Farah Angsana’s spring 2013 collection titled “The Glamazon” consisted of beautiful evening gowns and caftans in bright jewel tone colors like cobalt blue, yellow, orange, teal, and coral with the occasional black and white frocks that wowed her spring 2013 audience. Each piece was beautifully embellished with crystals enhancing the luscious simplistic beauty of the crep silks, organza, lace and jacquard used throughout the collection.  Angsana’s inspiration was in visualizing a woman’s journey of finding beauty within herself while taking in the Amazonian culture as she traveled through South America to destinations such as Brazil, Sao Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro.

This all showed in Farah’s use of colors, fabrication and sexy, cosmopolitan silhouettes. The closing number was a form fitting crystal encrusted gown made of nude tulle with small strips of tulle dyed each color from the collection. These strips were strategically placed on the gown like fringe. This beauty of a show stopper was reminiscent of a costume that may have been worn during Carnival in Rio, personifying pure glamour.   Written by Dara Senders.   Photos: Frazer Harrison | getty images for MB.
