CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Emerson Spring 2014

It was a high-energy punk party at the Emerson Spring 2014 runway show held at the Lincoln Center. Designer Jackie Fraser-Swan‘s models strutted to the beat of roaring hits from decades past, as her gorgeous neon garden digital prints and flirty dresses lit up the catwalk. It’s a contemporary line that fits a range of age groups, with clever ways of incorporating season staples into a lovely collection.

That garden print is seen on several different outfits, but feels absolutely perfect on mini sleeveless dresses. Can’t forget to mention that it also looks rocking on a graphic sweatshirt. An ode to deep violet is shown in several other dresses as accent details among brown stripes. Feels gorgeously romantic. A black and white striped jumpsuit is all the rage, and the fun cut-out neck is an added funky touch. A girly shirtdress with a houndstooth pattern takes that classic winter print for a spin and makes it 100 perfect spring. Pair it with a bright clutch and it’s your next Sunday shopping favorite.

The last remaining gowns were simply breathtaking in prints used on earlier looks. Striped, garden print, and violet all worked flawlessly as evening wear. The last look, a white and violet flowered gown, was so eye-catching, especially with the hydrangea hair decorations. And as The Ramones’ ‘Sheena Is a A Punk Rocker’ blasted in the background, it was obvious that one was the winner for the night.
