CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Dsquared2 Spring 2014 MFW

Did we just step foot inside a tiki bar? Because the Dsquared2 Spring 2014 collection is already making us long for those warm summer nights to come. Designers Dean and Dan Caten set a very playful scene for this glamorous set, sand-covered runway and all. With a fierce jungle backdrop, the duds are just as fabulous. This is a set filled with sexy feminine cuts and gorgeous accessories that bring these roaring looks all together.

Loving the details greatly-check out Lindsey Wixson’s fierceness.

This collection isn’t just all fun and games though, there’s a sweet maturity that resonates throughout. These are clothes for women, not girls. The voluptuous female is embraced, with obvious nods to Fifties vixens and pin-up girls. No hiding the curves here, these clothes accentuate with hourglass bustier dresses. Embroidered briefs also harken to a time decades previously, but they feel quite fresh for the 21st century. Metallic fabrics are gorgeous and seamlessly blend into romantic black and white numbers. A bright blue shiny jacket, in particular, is an absolute knockout. Much praise has to be given to the chosen accessories, as handbags and eye-covering hats have us ready for our next poolside rendezvous.

High hair and sultry lipstick really tie-in this beachy bombshell muse. Plus, there’s even a few swimsuits to get you ready. These twin brothers sure know how to do ‘tropical’ perfectly, hats and all. fdmLOVES DSQUARED2 Spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
