CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Dries Van Noten Spring 2014 PFW

Wearable glamour is the underlying theme for Dries Van Noten’s Spring 2014 collection. It’s glitzy, it’s stylish and it all feels so effortless. For the powerful female in us, it’s a set that makes you want to grab that strength from within and then wear it on the outside. The old-time jacquards and gorgeous florals make this a set worth getting in to, and the down-played styling make it a little “cool” too.

Colors are rich and warm in pretty gold, navy, cream, burgundy and black hues. Things fit loosely, never baggy, and structured flawlessly. The added embellishments stand out the most as gold ruffles, and frou frou frills add the sugary sweetness. Prints are striking in floral variations, stars and even barbed-wire, which was the most lovely of all. Billowing sleeves and skirts add a bit of extravagance, reminiscent of old time can-can dancers. Endless amounts of elegance at every turn. A true golden flowered assortment.

Accessories stay on point as Twenties-styled sunglasses look stunning on these fresh faces. The kind of styles that are one step above formal, but never getting too showy. fdmLOVES DRIES VAN NOTEN Spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
