CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Custo Barcelona Spring 2014

The ever vibrant label Custo Barcelona offered a series of sophisticated, elegant Aztec-inspired looks with tribal motifs in subdued hues for Spring 2014. Perfect for the fashionista with a penchant for exoticism, designer Custo Delmau offered bold structured overcoats that mixed in fringe, tribal prints and metallic sheen.

Masterfully engineered jacquards and woven raffia were layered in an array of textures, delivering a range of pieces that will see you from an afternoon adventure to a relaxed evening out. Dresses, swimsuits and sheer chiffon overlays were paired with mini shorts and intimates which reflected the label’s signature eccentric vibe.

A standout look included a sheer white blouse with broderie anglaise accents teamed with a pair of long culottes, the front of which featured red and white Aztec embroidery and the back were printed with a black and white hieroglyphics motif. Another striking look included a shimmering, rose-gold blouse embroidered with neon raffia at the shoulders, paired with a metallic jacquard skirt. For men, a pair of iridescent, tiger head-printed trousers was matched with a fishnet tank – a cheeky look in the collection’s otherwise subdued offering.
