Badgley Mischka Fall 2014 NYFW

Badgley Mischka Fall 2014 collection is like a dreamy trip back to 1950s Europe. Inspired by old Vienna and the artist, Gustav Klimt, designer duo Mark Badgley and James Mischka showed a majestic set at the Lincoln Center during NYFW. Delicious chocolate browns and shimmery golds spoke for themselves from this proud and true autumn/winter set. Gowns harken back to retro silhouettes and furry accents bring the pieces to life. Celebs Giuliana Rancic, Petra Nemcova and Katrina Bowden took the beauties in from the front row at the star-studded show.

Klimt’s color palette is most definitely represented in all these rich colors. Beaded bling and metallic floral brocade on dresses brought the ‘wow’ factor. These red carpet experts not only showed a slew of Oscar-ready gowns [ladies, take notes!] they also soared in daytime pieces like attractive coats and cinched mid-length dresses. The BM girl can easily slip into these pieces from day to night, making this a set we particularly applaud. Master dressmakers can, too, excel in business casual. These two have all their bases covered.

Highlights definitely included princess-like gowns in pale pink plus a white form-fitting number with gold neck detailing exquisiteness. For a soiree or tea time…the possibilities are endless. fdmLOVES BADGLEY MISCHKA Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
