WHITNEY EVE spring 2013 NYFW highlights and front row celebs
CATCHING UP: Whitney Eve designer Whitney Port started her journey for Spring/Summer 2013 at the Tower of London. The crown jewels were the catalyst for deeper exploration into geological elements, basis for her signature custom Whitney Eve prints this season… on the feminine blouses, wide legged pants, and menswear inspired soft tailoring | casual suiting. Cut outs and burnouts layered a new dimension to eveningwear keeping the Whitney eclectic feminine aesthetic.. Celeb friends that came to check out WHITNEY EVE included Jessica Hart, Nicole Trunfio, India De Beaufort, Charlotte Ross, Kelly Bensimon, Julia Allison, Eric West and Mya.
Embracing a new perspective on youthful elegance with soft, sculptural shapes in understandable silhouettes, there were added elements of printed denim, mix-and-match textures, and a little fringe to go with the patterns. Inspired by precious stones, crystals, mineral and rock formations for Spring/Summer 2013, these elements were magnified, shattered, and blurred to create this season’s unique prints. Here’s a little peek at what we saw, with more to come- brigitte segura.
