CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

VOZ Spring 2014

Earthy vibes were present for the VOZ Spring 2014 show. Held at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, the collection featured hand-made artwork from South America and North Indian weavers, along with delicate textiles inspired by the culture of Southern Chile. Designer Jasmine Aarons pulled earth tones of black, ivory and dusty gray and incorporated them into cute dresses, skirts and ethereal tops.

Hairstylist Cesar Ramirez also provided the gorgeous updos that resembled the intricate weavings found in the clothing. Whimsical and airy, this was a fantastic first Spring/Summer collection for the brand.

A color palette that may seem muted to some really makes this line. You can’t imagine any other colors to suit the gorgeous weavings and intricacies found on these pieces. On point and highly trending, the VOZ girl not only rocks a collared shirt dress, but also a patterned sweater and printed shorts with a floppy hat to boot. The Chilean influence is seen all over on those gorgeous weaved prints that appear on shirts and tote bags. A deep V-cut ensemble with matching trousers works as a set and could also fit as your next springtime transition coat. Edgy but still romantic.

Bohemian love is still relevant here. Pieces that speak the Pacific Ocean language…something that continues to speak the brand’s original story. A powerful force! fdmLOVES VOZ Spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
