Vionnet Campaign fall 2013

For the fall 2013 season Vionnet is breaking traditions. For the first time in 70 years, fall glossies will feature the Vionnet ad campaign. Inspired by the atelier of Madeleine Vionnet, the elegant scene was captured by Katja Rahlwes. The heavily mirrored shoot featuring model Malgosia Bela was styled to perfection by George Cortina.

Bela wears casual waves and smokey eyes to place the importance on the dresses. Two beautiful gowns are worn, seemingly unlike each other yet simultaneously resembling each other in grace and elegance. A light and flowy strapless gown is worn with black strappy heels while Malgosia Bela smolders into three mirrors. She holds a geometric white bag as we see her from four different angles, a decision made by art director George Cortina to portray the Vionnet woman’s multiple layers and dimensions.

The second shot is a long sleeved evening gown, shown in two mirrors. The model looks straight at the camera, projecting strength and confidence like a Vionnet woman does.
