Vh1 Do Something Awards
Set to a city of stars backdrop the Vh1 Do Something Awards were presented in partnership with Post-it Brand at the Avalon in Los Angeles. Hostess Sophia Bush and celeb presenters including Lucy Hale, Cynthia Nixon, Russell Simmons and Aisha Tyler participated in doling out the awards for philanthropic and inspiring work. We love a good cause that calls for getting dolled up and doing the right thing at the same time.
Honorees include Dr. Dreamy Patrick Dempsey, the incredibly talented Jennifer Hudson, handsome hunk LL COOL J and the lovely Kelly Osbourne with lavender tinted locks and all. The event also paid homage to five 25 and under “do-gooders” aim for change with action. The event also marked the launch of Post-it’s contest that asks people to share their idea for improving the world. The Dreams for Good Program is an opportunity to win one of three $25,000 Post-it Possibility Grants.
Celebrities walked the carpet and stopped to add their own notes of positivity to the Post-it Brand Wall. Jessie Tyler Ferguson, Darren Criss, Carmen Electra, Queen Latifah, Michelle Monaghan helped to kick-off the Post-it Brand Dreams for Good Campaign and supported DoSomething.org with a $25,000 donation. It’s not just for the famous, fans can also enter the Post-it Brand Dreams for Good Contest by visiting www.facebook.com/postit and submitting a photo of their dream for good on a Post-it Note. fdmLOVES VH1 written by Sarah A.
