CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Theia Spring 2014

Held at the luxurious New York Palace Hotel, Theia‘s Spring 2014 collection was a floral paradise. Designer Don O’Neil presented his gorgeous gowns with hints of Japanese cherry blossom and chrysanthemum inspiration. He was influenced greatly by the Brooklyn Botanical gardens, something that resonated beautifully on the gown silhouettes. To put it simply, this set was simply stunning.

As the models posed under bright lights, the gowns truly shined. The ambience was fitting, as the downstairs room setting was just as beautiful as the pieces before us. A vintage floral kimono print stood out on a sweatshirt, while so many of the dresses had Japanese cuts and styles. Think traditional Japanese wedding with a slight colorful twist. A few dark numbers, including a little black dress, felt so sleek. Future red carpet picks for sure. A pretty chrysanthemum print landed on a jacquard dress, as it blended perfectly with the cool, pink and black, and red color palette. A selection that would satisfy even the pickiest dress wearer.

Two showstoppers were the dramatic white ensembles, one with exquisite black and red striped detailing and the other with a silver design bodice. Another champagne colored beaded dazzler could easily adorn the next ‘Best Actress’ winner. What a knockout. fdmLOVES THEIA spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
