CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Stella McCartney resort 2015

A fierce flair in a casually chic array of bold and subtle colors and patterns, the Stella McCartney Resort 2015 collection delivers a sure-fire highlight of fashionable for the early 2015 season. From an edgy skull-and-mask-ornamented set to a delicately-draped sundress, McCartney’s unique collection appeals to both the traditional everyday woman and the standout in the crowd.

Held admidst the greenery of the Elizabeth Street Garden and graced by familiar faces such as Maggie Gyllenhaal and Cara Delevingne, the show was a celebration of putting fun back into fashion. Stella McCartney’s collection defies the limits of pattern and style pair-ups. Who says a striped top can’t go with a pair of platform wedges and a head-turning patterned skirt? Two lovesick swallows share a kiss on the back of a casual knit sweater, a definite staple for the upcoming spring season. The accessories are also a sure stray from the ordinary, with long-chained lucha libre/superhero clutches that defeat the villainous drab bags of yesterday.

Sticking to the traditional patterns of summer include a high neck paisley sundress and more endless arrays of floral-inspired prints. A dark grey pantsuit topped off with bright toe-peeping platform sandals evoke the New York working girls who make the streets their runway. Bejeweled clutches, cross-topped sundresses and patterned ponchos share company with softer cream-toned dresses and suit jackets. This fun and diverse fashion collection was truly complementary to the show’s after party, with bubbles, lollipops, and silly faces galore.

A throwback to retro styles and patterns with a return to home with today’s trends, the Stella McCartney Resort 2015 collection is nothing short of fabulous. Out of all the A-list guests and friends who attended the show, style was the definite star of the party. FdmLOVES Stella McCartney Resort 2015 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Arielle Tipa.
