CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Skingraft Fall 2014 NYFW

All black everything—the mantra that’s become synonymous with L.A.-based line, Skingraft. Making their Lincoln Center debut during NYFW, designer Jonny Cota presented a Fall 2014 collection full of fly street cred ensembles and deliciously dark leather numbers. With almost every piece in black or navy, this was a memorable set that left the boho vibes on the West Coast. Packing the attitude with a heavy punch, this is not a brand for the timid. These guys and girls want to be noticed.  We’ve been rooting for this brand for a while, and this memorable set didn’t let us down. In fact, we love them even more.

One of our favorites, Baptiste Radufe, walked this show along with heavy-trending Shaun Ross. The energy backstage was addicting.

This particular collection is full of gorgeous bomber jackets and motorcycle coats. Plus, so. much. leather. It’s crafted and sculpted so beautifully like it was chiseled out of stone. Gold detailing on these jackets and dresses shine like stained glass windows. Take a closer look and you’ll see a fox on the front of one. Gemstone geometric patterns pop with extra flair. Plus, can we please take a moment and admire all this outerwear from top to bottom? Hooded shrouds add a pinch of mystery. A navy hooded crossover coat is a definite highlight for the ladies. As for the guys, kilt skirts over leather pants are so trending, so right this second. Any male musician will want to get his hands all over this assortment. Hip hop yes.

We expect this brand to keep going up season after season. A well-deserved MBFW debut with talent overflowing. We like what we’re seeing from the other coast. We especially like that they’re coming east. Skingraft, please sit down and stay a while. fdmLOVES SKINGRAFT Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
