CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Rolando Santana Fall 2014 NYFW

We’re feeling the 50 Shades of Grey vibe. No, not the erotic romance novel… Rolando Santana’s lovely Fall 2014 collection held during NYFW. It was a definite ‘win’ for this designer as he premiered his effortlessly chic garments to a crowd of fashion enthusiasts. He kept it simple and sophisticated using only the color palettes of black and white. This lack of color added to the definition of the collection, making it more precise in its approach to modern sophistication. It made quite the statement.

This was made for the modern, established woman, who knows what she wants in life and goes after it. With clean lines and smooth silhouettes, models strolled down the runway… giving empowerment to the women wearing it. Knowing that black and white pieces are essential to a women’s closet, Santana mastered this concept creating looks that needed no other accessories. But, his fuzzy details did give an extra dab of spice to this grey collection. His incorporation of soft and silky fuzz will make colder months warmer, while still staying on trend.

This season the designer decided to incorporate a stunning evening wear section to his collection. Keeping to the grey theme, Santana showcased an ivory beaded long sleeve gown that so effortlessly glided down the runway. This designer understands that balance is key to a women’s wardrobe. With such mastery, there is absolutely nothing grey about this set. fdmLOVES ROLANDO SANTANA Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Nia Bolling.
