ROBERT GELLER BTS NYFWM ss16

Every season just gets more attractive at ROBERT GELLER.  For ss16 menswear during NYFWM | cfda models seamlessly donned airy layers in earthy tones with the GELLER dna of cool edge.   The designer’s breezy fabric choices + complementary textures added to the attitude of cool without an overpowering hard edge.

Though the silhouettes remain minimal, the fit and vibe (that is always evident backstage) is not as easily attained without the masterful eye and detail of this designer we’ve grown to love.

The German designer drew inspiration from his memories of the North Sea add a slightly nautical feel to his collection. Draped drawers and loose shirts were topped with wide belts, necklaces, or hats. Dusty blues among other shades of earthy hues were comfortably artsy in combos in patterned colorways.  Backstage in the Geller tradition, we caught up with models including regulars like Felix Gesnouin,  Andre Bona + a group of new faves including Charlie James, cristino Lucas, Mac Phiri and Adonis Bosso, all happily sporting the comfortable + edgy modern vibe of the collection.

The light and lux look featured models with slicked back hairdos and was fittingly accessorized with Siwa rope bags and watches from G-Shock. fdmLOVES Robert Geller SS16 commentary + selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Sarah A. Freiseis.
