CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

NICHOLAS K. fall 2013 LookBook selects

Inspired by the époque of the icy explorations in the late 19th and early 20th century, sibling duo Nicholas and Christopher Kunz create a collection for Fall 2013 NICHOLAS K. reminiscent of the colors and shapes of the Arctic realm. Taking inspiration from explorers such as Robert E. Peary and Frederick A. Cook, the first to discover the North Pole, to Peter Freuchen, the anthropologist who becomes the first westerner to marry an Inuit woman.

This marriage symbolizes the collection, a marriage of the age-old warm wears of the Inuits and the Western explorers’ attempts to adjust to the harsh winter climates of the Arctic. With a color palette ranging from the whites of snow to the many shades of the sea, the collection showcases all aspects of the harsh environment.

Perfect for navigating an urban environment, the forty-three looks for Nicholas K’s Fall 2013 collection combine feminine draping with the somber colors of the harsh Arctic environment. A Nicholas K woman wears rich wool blends, light flowing knits, chunky sweaters, and icy hued plaids with ease. We think it’s the right mix of coolness and femininity, making this Fall 2013 collection ideal for the modern woman. fdmLOVES selects from NICHOLAS K fall 2013 lookbook by Brigitte Segura, written by Cameron Hull.
