NICHOLAS K. fall 2012 womens lookbook

fdmLOVES: NICHOLAS K. fall 2012 lookbook layered to love for women.  The Nicholas K Women’s Fall 2012 collection seamlessly combines the past and present. Creative Director Nicholas Kunz, who has lived in New York City for 19 years, references her childhood in Arizona within the looks. The latest collection journeys further into the past, yet with an updated edge by Nicholas citing early 20th century Taos Artists as an influence. The layering is perfect for combating New York winters, and cowboy hats and tasseled shirts give a southern charm. With modernized slouchy suits for both men and women, Nicholas K carries its theme of ease from the street to the boardroom. The layering is never overbearing,  with lightweight fabrics being thrown over leathers or underneath the cowboy hats.NICHOLAS K womens fall 2012 lookbook FashionDailyMag selects 18 The dark, deep earth tones of the collection were brightened with a variety of attention-grabbing textures, from fuzzy linings to light embelishments to leathers. an infusion of patterns- from zigzag sequin tops and striped scarves- and little bursts of color electrify their Fall 2012 collection. written by Mary Anderson fdms selects by brigitte segura | FashionDailyMag fashion + lifestyle in LUXchic.. Nicholas K is comprised of sibling co-founders, Nicholas Kunz, and her brother, Christopher Kunz, who directs the Corporate Operations. Also, within five new labels, she supervised their ‘design and coordination’. Nicholas was a full-time consultant for Calvin Klein before co-founding Nicholas K. Christopher has worked with Polo Ralph Lauren and many other brands, while also working within several facets of fashion such as runway and retail. The sibling powerhouse Nicholas K shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York, and is represented by PR maven Kelly Cutrone of Peoples Revolution.
