MM6 MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA lookbook spring 2013

A happening lifestyle of clothing, shoes, and accessories for MM6 MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA spring/summer. Just on the heels of the label’s New York store opening on Bleecker St., we got a peek during NYFW.  A feminine freshness with casual tones in a collection of soft colors in fine fabrics of leather, wool, and silk, plus techy PVC and faux denims. In a mix and match showcase, multiple pieces and groups of 3s work back into a cohesive look.

Military moments, deconstructed details, and voluminous accents are relaxed with an edge. A print manifestation in a recycled version and a camo nod enhanced our interest. Other add-ons are almost funky in the form of over sized jewelry in metal, plus two types of totes, and few types of see-through shoes: ankle boots, wedges, and high-tops.  Elements of earthy with a slightly city vibe, together the chic is neat and très cool. Written By Sarah A.
