MAXMARA backstage + details fall 2014 MFW
Take a trip across the pond to Max Mara’s Fall 2014 collection. Shown during MFW, this assortment of ‘menswear for womenswear’ pieces has us itching for Scotland’s green countryside. Designer Ian Griffiths incorporated loads of tweed, herringbone, and plaids into this buzzing fall set. He enlisted a few of the regulars to strut their stuff: Sasha Luss, Lindsey Wixson, and Saskia de Brauw, just to name a few. They look amazing in these charmers equipped with full on red lipstick.
Of course, we must discuss all the coats here. They’re undoubtedly tailored masterpieces. Peacoats are gorgeous and the menswear fabric rocks in feminine variations. Think of it as borrowing your guy’s outerwear…and never giving it back. There’s golds and greens underneath, even a periwinkle blazer. Coats take a sportier turn with hooded chicness and plaids add the edge.
Luxurious and ‘lady in charge’ fabulous. This is a set to leave the timid attitude at home. In fact, this line encourages you to take on the world in class and style. fdmLOVES MAX MARA Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
