Marni Winter Edition 2013 Video “Hidden Places”

As change of seasons draws nearer we dream of fall fantasies complete with wardrobe must-haves and our own take on the trend forecast. We are transported in an instant with a short piece called “Hidden Places” featuring the Marni Winter collection. The colors of the city accent the fashions as the exclusive video produced by Marni_Lab  with the brand’s hometown of Milan set as a backdrop.

Italy’s decadent fashion capital and home to Marni’s headquarters is captured as s metropolitan beauty with sensibility that is developed as an extension to drive the Winter collection. Glass doors – modern, vintage, and everything in between – serve as a backdrop to clothes rich with fabric and color. Plums, ivories, emeralds, and golds make appearances in all looks, creating a visual treat for all viewers. All looks are ultra-feminine yet portray a modern and masculine touch with dress-length vests and structured outerwear. Check out the video here.

A personal favorite is a Gatsby-inspired shift dress adorned with grey and black stripes and crimson and ivory flowers. Worn with mid-length gloves, this outfit presents a woman with casual elegance and sophistication. Menswear-inspired shoes in patent emerald and black and white patterns highlight the masculine approach. Paired with the elegant silhouettes of dresses and skirts, these combinations emulate the city perfectly: beautiful yet modern, feminine yet tough.

Marni_Lab presents a Milan we know nothing of: a look at the hidden gems of the city. The places unseen by tourists and unappreciated by locals, making it a perfect compliment to the subtle beauty of Marni Winter 2013. fdmLOVES MARNI Winter edition 2013 Video “Hidden Places”  by Brigitte Segura, written by Cameron Hull.
