CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Marchesa Spring 2014

A decidedly stylish scene came together for Marchesa Spring 2014 at the New York Public Library. The hot crowd included Olivia Palermo, Molly Sims, Gina Gershon, Petra Nemcova, Sheryl Crow, Courtney Love, Ashley Greene, and the fashionably minded Natalie Joos. Playfully chic works for this line as femininity is textured to life.

The whimsy vibe was structured with flattering embellishment that adds varying degrees of flair. Designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are ever romanced by early to mid-twentieth century silhouettes and this time the relaxed approach evoked a touch more attitude. Dresses were pretty with hints of flirt as the skirts layered with light tops were  elegantly sassy.

Metallics were rich in gold and silver and softened with shades of blue in satin and lace as 3-D elements added to the artistic appeal. The particularly eye catching was the Crystal and chenille ribbon embroidered bustier and nigh-waisted skirt paired with a gauzy silk shirt. Other high points featured mixed enhancements from hand-painted pieces to hand-crafted roses to fringe with directional volume executed for finesse. fdmLOVES MARCHESA SPRING 2014 written by Sarah A.
