LUSH + lovely FALL romance

A romatic pre-fall: Set in a beautiful backdrop of lush greens, Freja Beha Erichsen covers the WSJ september women’s issue flawlessly.  The “Grass is Greener” editorial shot by Lachlan Bailey features the Danish model sporting wearing Gucci, Isabel Marant, and Chloe.

The self-described tomboy-turned-model talks with WSJ about what she loves about her career and why her androgynous look has been advantageous. Here’s a little peek of the the story that evokes “the romantic spirit of hazy, lazy afternoons” with fabulous easy pieces and outerwear from the fall collections… and couple of Freja quotes too!

Freja On:

Not anticipating having a modeling career: “I grew up playing soccer with the boys—quite far from reading magazines”
Why her androgynous look is advantageous: “I became one of the androgynous models, which wasn’t that far out of my comfort zone.”
What she enjoys most about her modeling career: “I love the process— collaborating with the photographers, traveling and seeing different cultures. My mother always said I would regret it if I didn’t do it. And I think she was right.”

  • At 27 years old, Freja is currently pursuing her high school equivalency degree.
  • She was discovered at 15 years old by a scout on the streets of Copenhagen.
  • Freja has landed campaigns for Chanel, Tiffany, Saint Laurent, Chloé, Louis Vuitton and more.
