Katya Leonovich Fall 2014 NYFW

Katya Leonovich Fall 2014 NYFW

It was a futuristic ride during the Katya Leonovich Fall 2014 runway show at the Lincoln Center during NYFW. Right off the bat, the fabrics had us ‘oohing’ and ‘ahhing’ from our seats. Metallics and shiny embellishments are everything here. We love that every look has its own sparkle and shine, whether material or glistening jewelry accessory. These are the kinds of clothes to have fun in. Life’s too short to be bogged down in bland…this designer wants you to enjoy the ride in memorable showstoppers. We couldn’t agree more.

The first look, a deep-cut blue party dress, is beyond. Did it come down from the fashion stratosphere? It’s so hip it hurts and we can imagine all the girls wanting to get their hands on it. The majority of the dresses and skirts are too cool. The cuts are unconventional but they totally rock on hard. There’s ruching, cut-outs and lots of sass. Effie Trinket would happily own each and every one of these looks. Even an all-black cape and dress ensemble soars. It’s moody and high-fashion chic all in one. Put on your perfect pout. The true showstopper is undoubtedly the last look, a shimmering gown that’s fit for an artsy bride. The visible dress cage adds a bit of retro flair into this cutting edge set.

Bring the party in one of these looks. Everyone deserves some excitement…and let it be from your clothes. Fancy that. fdmLOVES KATYA LEONOVICH Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa
