CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

JOANNA MASTROIANNI spring 2013 MBFW

the JOANNA MASTROIANNI spring 2013 runway show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was nothing but a purely tasteful yet funky collection of garments. Bold hues of magenta, yellow, purple and green delightfully punched viewers eyes with color blocking, tropical prints, and textural fabulousness. Many of the frocks appeared as though they were made of moss, grass or tightly sewn together flowers, making for a fresh new idea for fashion. The cocktail dresses made the audience feel as though they were attending a chic, sophisticated, Nuevo garden party. A MASTROIANNI Garden Party, if you will!

To break up all of the bright tones was the use of black,  Joanna’s collection showed off the woman’s physique with cinched waists, fitted pants and dresses… and a fair share of billowing capes, gowns and caftans. Chunky necklaces accessorizes the outfits generously within the collection, with the models sporting up-do’s of a three dimensional-like twisted buns or bobs. Cheerful eyeshadow in pink and yellow was color blocked on the eyelids, and lips were completely doused in bright pink lipstick. Kiss kiss!

As the run of show started, a model carried down an adorable puppy making the collection seem even more like an All Grown Up dress up [Barbie] Garden Party Show –and who doesn’t love a pooch on the runway?  a nice medley of patterned garden fun at JOANNA MASTROIANNI spring 2013 runway.  Written by Dara Senders.
