CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Jamie Dornan Fashionably Fits the Bill

With famously piercing good looks, Jamie Dornan proves that he has the acting talent to go along with the face. Working a sophisticated casual man for the latest issue of the Journal, his handsomeness is featured in looks from  Maison Martin Margiela, and Rag & Bone.  Get a view of this former model and rising star through the lens of Tom Craig.

With recognition like this it’s hard to understand why he decided to move on into the acting world. He explains, “I got everything out of that world that you can get. And I never did a fashion show,” he adds proudly. “It was part of my Dior contract to open its shows in Milan… but we had that written out as I have a funny, bouncy walk – not cool. It wouldn’t make a suit look any better.” He continued by saying, “but it’s only recently that I really decided I wanted to act.”

His new passion has certainly paid off with his role in The Fall. Granted his character is a far cry from his infamous Calvin Klein ads with Eva Mendes, the series has been reported to be the highest rated drama launch in eight years, just signing for its second season on BBC Two.

Despite all of these associations with good looks, he still is charmingly self-deprecating. “My level of fame has no impact on my life”, he candidly admits. The ease in which he wears layered mixes of darkly-colored sweaters and stripes only reveals his roots are true as the once reigning highest-paid male model in the world. Army greens, hazy blues, and silver grays highlight the incoming weather as autumn approaches while the cotton and wool fabrics beckon a chill in the air. The blend of structured jackets with soft cardigans and tees create a look that is unmistakably masculine yet simultaneously welcoming and friendly, much like Dornan himself. fdmLOVES JAMIE DORNAN menswear selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Cameron Hull.
