CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

J fashion show at One World Trade Center

From its nightlife to its eccentric fashion scene, New York City is known for dishing out extravagancies. The 25th of June was no exception when global sensation and young entrepreneur Jessica Minh Anh marked her 7th history making catwalk on the 63rd floor One World Trade Center. The J Summer Fashion Show featured eight designers from four different continents including Alina German, CAT, and Ziad Nakad. And really, where better to host this cultural integration than at One World Trade Center?

Needless to say, the view of New York City was amazing set as the backdrop for this fashion show. The building is not yet finished, but with windows from floor to ceiling of that view no one had any complaints. Our editor, Brigitte got a front row view and got a close up of all the lavish embroideries and embellishments on the runway and got to chat with Fox 5 about the exciting show atmosphere pre-show.

Starting off the show Jessica Minh Anh led the models along the octagonal catwalk, impressing the audience in a bold feathered gown. To follow, Puey Quinones showed off a Couture collection which was all about the earthy palette mixed with elaborate textures. Alina German showed off a color blocked batch mixed with material transparency.

South American glamour was anything but lacking with the crystal embroidered and laced dresses by Norka Peralta. As for accessories, American born footwear brand CAT footwear displayed its classics with a modern edge, using a leather design for men and easy-to-wear heels for women. HAY UNITED went for a funky style using pop art prints while representing their sportswear.

For the occasion, CHULA designs appropriately showed architectural and photographic dress inspirations from American graphics which included scenes of New York.  LIBAS Reshma Riyaz Gangji chose to go with a black, white, and red theme, representing a mixture of emotions. The finale showcased the beautifully feminine designs of Ziad Nakad.  Every dress was made with royal colors, hand beaded and red carpet-ready. As the sun set, Jessica Minh Anh closed the show wearing a stunning signature red dress by Ziad Nakad.

The event moved on to an exclusive after party where designers and guests intermingled while enjoying world class cuisine’s and drinks by French chef Sebastian Pourrat of Cocotte SoHo New York. Another successful, unusually located fashion show by Jessica Minh Anh leaves us wondering what exotic venue she will have in store for us next. fdmLOVES selects from J summer fashion at One World Trade Center by Brigitte segura, written by Bianca Scherrei.
