HARDY AMIES spring 2013 menswear Paris

Hardy Amies Menswear Spring 2013 made classics contemporary, while staying true to their origins. Creative Director Claire Malcolm utilized the brand’s Savile Row history, (and the namesake’s role as Queen Elizabeth II’s official dressmaker) to revitalize the iconic tailoring for the label’s debut on the Paris Fashion Week Calendar. Structured suiting, combined with shades and loafers emblazoned with the brand’s initials, gave a laid-back look overall. Skinny ties and trousers created a more slimmer, streamlined silhouette than other menswear collections. A pop of vivid pink was given even further interest by the addition of rose embossings near the collar. The prints helped the collection transition from fresh whites with hints of sky-blue patterns to dinner jackets in dizzying, yet dazzling sapphire. Hope you are prepared for this British Invasion, as Hardy Amies has definitely left its mark.
