CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

GUCCI ss16 menswear MFW

As the first few models strolled down the runway for Gucci ss 16 Menswear collection, the 70’s influenced silhouettes, luxurious floral patterns and lace garments were on full display.  A mash up of girls on the runway in patterned classics complementing the mens shiny, patterned (and mint) suiting.  Feminine embroidered details and delicate fabrics were abundan.

Throughout the collection was a constant recurrence of floral patterns, trousers, shirts and outerwear- and did we mention, lace? A rich and bright red slim fitting bomber jacket with flower arrangements was one of the first outerwear pieces that stood out, along with a lightly colored blue leather rider jacket adorned with silver studs and more floral.  Another favorite look was the trench coat embroidered with the Gucci logo along with beautiful suede shoulder patches.

A turquoise colored lace button down shirt added a pop of color and exuberance to the relaxed and luxurious theme of the collection. Almost all of the pants and denim seen in the collection had a 70’s influenced bell-bottom design. One model wore a slim fitting navy blue blazer and a flower in place of a necktie. By incorporating a looser flowing silhouette, frilled shirt collars and bright alluring colors the collections atmosphere felt natural. It’s hard to find a garment in the new show that doesn’t at least draw your attention with its stunning color palette or retro 70’s vibe.  Love it.  GUCCI ss16 menswear MFW selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Jordan Bowman.
