CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Gucci Spring 2014 MFW

Milan Fashion Week began with an explosion of sport luxe chic. The Gucci Spring 2014 collection by designer Frida Giannini felt surprisingly sporty in athletic staples of mesh, loose fitting cuts and even jogging pants silhouettes. But, it wouldn’t be a Gucci show without the unmistaken amounts of femininity and ferocity. Like powerful lionesses stepping out of the jungle, watch as these ladies positively own the runway. It’s all theirs.

Things stayed relatively dark as flowy looks in black, rust, magenta, deep blue and midnight purple hit the shimmering catwalk. Metallics  and sparkles accented deep cut necklines as underneath negligees often showed. Almost looking like fantastic beach coverups, these are definite numbers that could be rocked at any kind of occasion. Patterns were so bold that they often resembled scorching flames and felt very Art Nouveau-inspired. Don’t get too close though because of the amount of red hot fierceness these clothes are emulating. The sexy black heeled sandals wrapped around the ankles of the models as they gave the looks an even more high fashion lift. Love it.

Formal or street wear, there’s something special about this set. Even if the Gucci gal chooses not to wear these sporty duds, there’s plenty of kimono robes and sheer dresses to keep her satisfied. Always the best taste of Milano flavor. fdmLOVES GUCCI Spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
